Nelson's Monument 001
Former 'Nelson's Monument' Beer House (restricted beer licence) on Kay Street, which runs off Bolton Road. As the accompanying article says, the building is now a Christian mission house wherein people would be encouraged to forswear the demon drink. First open as a Thwaites Beer House in 1878, and lost its licence in 1903.
