Market Clock Tower 002
The Market Hall clocktower, Christmas Day 1964. The Hall itself had already been demolished; the tower came down on the 30th December 1964. It was suggested that the clock mechanism, including the golden ball (which rose on a staff between 12 and 1 o'Clock) might be transfered to St.Johns Church, visible on the right. This was not done, although the mechanism may be stored elsewhere.rnM83.
