Hutchinson Street 001
The old workshouse, erected in 1764 stood at the junction of Hutchinson Street and Kay Street, but has now entirely disappeared, its place being taken by rows of dwelling houses. On an old plan it is marked in two blocks as "old" and "new" and had a long garden behind. Here died John Osbaldeston, the inventor of the weft fork. P454.
