Hollinshead Mill, off St. James's Road, Blackburn. rnWeaving Mill, established 1905-6 by the Hollinshead Mill Co. Ltd of Daisy Street. Workforce of 230 weaving sateen, twills, cambrics, dhooties, etc. After a lenghty closure in the 1930's the company sold the mill in 1938 to the Skrim Manufacturing Co. Ltd of Dudley, surgical, cheese and paper cloth manufacturers. Weaving ceased 1958. Now used to produce car exhaust systems. rnMike Rothwell.
