Higher Audley Street Mill 005
b06094. Higher Audley Street Mill in the process of demolition. The mill was built in 1864-65. In 1926 it had 32,496 ring spindles and employed 300 hands. The mill closed in 1959 by the Cotton Industry Act. Both the spinning and weaving sheds were demolished in the 1970's. Photograph taken in the 1970s.
