Flour Mill 003
North East end of Daisyfield Flour mill building, viewed from Appleby Street. The letters 'Appleby and Sons' can be seen on the windowless screen side building, which was demolished following the ending of flour milling on the site in 1968. The mill was always locally known as Appleby's flour mill, although it was in fact taken over by Joseph Rank Limited in 1928*. Image taken in 1987. rn* details from Mike Rothwell's 'Industrial Heritage' series
