b22639. Garden Street Mill engine house. The engine was a Ashton, Frost and Co. Ltd. inverted, which operated 1378 looms. Weaving ended at the mill in 1933-34, Later it was used to make gas masks. It then became Newmans Shoes. It has now been demolished. Photograph taken 8 May 1980. M. 31 Gar.
