Garden Street Mill 003
b22640. Garden Street Mill was built in 1853-54 by John Carr. 1378 looms were operating by 1912. Weaving ended at the mill in 1933-34, later it was used to make gas masks. It then became Newmans Footwear. It has now been demolished. Photograph taken 8 May 1980. M. 31 Gar.
