Roof slates are being removed as demolition gets underway. In the foreground can be seen Calendar Street, and a blocked off High Street on the left.rnThe Brewery was established at Salford, in 1799 by Thomas and William Dutton. The tower Brewhouse was erected in 1866-68. The brewery was purchased in 1964 by Whitebread, together with 711 public houses and 100 Off-Licences. The site is now a Morrison’s store.
