Duke of York, situated at the junction of Canterbury Street and Darwen Street. Stone steps outside a former blacksmith's forge can be seen to the left of the image. The pub first opened in 1790 and was First open in 1790. Closed in the 1990s then opened as funeral parlour, which later moved.
