Darwen Cricket Club 013
Learie Constantine seated and the Mayor of Darwen, Cllr W. Jepson. The match was played as part of the Mayor's "Clog Fund" in order to raise money for poor children. Sadly, for the spectators, Learie was given an lbw decision virtually as he had appeared at the crease. The match took place June 3rd, 1933.rnBack Row, (L to R): T. Cooper (Darwen), R.
