b05642. The rear of the Crown Hotel, Victoria Street. The original Crown Hotel had been destroyed in an explosion and a new one was built in its place c1870 by Thomas Briggs. The steps are in the crown Hotel Yard and lead up to William Cobban's French Polishers. This photograph was taken in 1962. M. 851 Cro.
