Canterbury Street Mill 003
Canterbury Street Mill, Built in 1865 by William Baron. Weaving shed for 450 looms. Leased to Kenyon Brothers 1865-73, later Nichols and Co. in 1885. Haydock and Duerden too over early 1890's firm later became J H Haydock and Sons Ltd, spasmodic production during 1930'3 closed during war. Operationes ended 1955. Stewert Golden, condenser manufacturer, aquired the mill, mid 1950's. rn(Mike Rothwell)
