Bonaccord Mill 001
Remains of Bonaccord Mill, off Higher Audley Street, Blackburn. The mill was sited on the landscaped area south of Duxbury's River Works, only the opening to the factory's canal basin survives. rnWas the second spinning mill erected by W. B Dewhurst, completed in 1865-66 and leased to Glenny and Cruikshank. E and T knowles took the lease in 1873 and following their bankcrupcy in 1885 spinning ended. Excluding a period as a warehouse for Navigation Corn Mill the factory was mainly used for cotton waste breaking and storage after 1885. The building were completel destroyed by fire in 1938. rn
