Britannia Mill 002
Britannia Mill, Bolton Road,. A small weaving mill built in 1856 by Joseph Harrison and Sons, machinists, ironfounders and cotton manufacturers. Leased to one of their managers John Oddie. (John Oddie and Son)Extended in c1870, offices added 1889. Closed in 1955-56, offices, beam engine and boilder demolished in 1984.
