b23843. Blackburn Co-Op was once located in the building which now holds the public library.rnThis photograph shows two women cashiers. Money and the bill for any goods bought would be put into a small round canister which would then be put into a tube, the assistant would pull a string and the canister, driven by air, travelled to the cashier, who would take the correct money, any changed would be returned in the same way. rnThe photograph was taken in 1930. M. 81 co-op.
