Potters of Darwen (C and J.G Potter) were pioneering 19th century wallpaper manufacturers in Lancashire, established in 1839-1840. They revolutionized the industry by adapting steam-driven calico printing machinery to produce patterned wallpaper continuously, significantly lowering costs.
