Image of the Blackburn Olympic football team who won the FA cup in 1883. The club had a short life as the wealthier Blackburn Rovers club gradually gained the loyalty of the town. The comment added to the photograph by a person unknown 'First winning team to take the cup from the South' shows resentment over the political, economic and cultural dominance of London and the South-East of England is nothing new.
