Royal Visit 1888 010
9th May 1888 and the Prince and Princess of Wales travel to Blackburn Railway Station following their visit to the town. Close by the Adelphi public house on the right of the image can be seen an advertisement for National Boots and Shoes by Stead and Simpson, who at one time claimed to be the largest shoe manufacturing company in the world.
