Hornby W H 001
Birthplace of William Henry (Harry) Hornby MP, son of William Henry Hornby. The Hornby's were industrialists and Conservative politicians. Hornby was first elected to Parliament in 1886, at a time of restricted franchise, and when Blackburn was a strongly Conservative town. Hornby never spoke in Parliament throughout his time as an MP.
