The Roll of Honour commemorates local servicemen who saw active service in World War 1. Whilst many of these men were killed,a significant number were included for other reasons. These could be -

Acts of bravery

Receipt of medals

Prisoners of War

Reported missing

Reported wounded

Death not caused by enemy action
