To provide a means to access the material, the site will be fully searchable and selected information will be provided in themes, which will be roughly broken down into historical periods. Starting with the climatic and geographical features which lent itself to the cotton industry, you will be able to make your own journey through time from the early days of hand loom weaving enterprise through to the rise and fall of the cotton industry. You will be able to view in detail the lives of those that made the growth possible and see the great legacies that remain today. One theme will look at the transport systems of the era and how they developed to cope with the demand, another will look at the leisure time of the mill workers.
