The Star Paper Mill 1875-2008This picture of an unknown date shows buildings belonging to the Star Paper Mill. On the left is the Star lodge and further up the hill you can see a crane unloading coal from canal barges and loading it into chutes to be delivered to the boiler house. The chimney in the far background belongs to the Sun Paper Mill, which was next to the Star. On the left is a rather ornate cast iron lamp standard and telegraph pole. The steam traction engine has steam up and is ready to pull two trailers full of paper while another one going the other way is full of bales of pulp.
