Granville Road, Blackburn
The houses here were built in the early 1890s, similar to many other substantial terraced houses in the Preston New Road area. The occupants of these houses at the time this photograph was taken included several commercial travellers, clerks and boot makers. There were also shops such as a confectioner, a draper and a chemist. The Conservatory in Corporation Park, is just visible in the background.
