Gold Pendant and Badges
The large badge in the centre is an 18ct gold pendant depicting the Darwen Coat of Arms. The pendant was made for the current Mayor's Chain but is worn by the Deputy Mayor on a ribbon.
To the left hand side is a past Mayor's badge presented to Mayors on completion of their term of office and is worn on Civic occasions such as Remembrance Sunday and Annual Council.
To the right hand side is a Darwen past Mayor's badge. Again, this would have been prsented to the Mayor at the end of his term of office, this particular badge is worn by the Deputy Mayoress on a ribbon.
The bottom centre badge is a past Mayoress's badge presented on completion of term of office.
